Win 94 in 25-35
Going to look at a 94 in 25-35. Ser.# 1721511 supposed to be in better than average condition. What year made & price range to offer?

"Better than average" is kind of ambiguous? Even offhand snaps from a cameraphone, would help us get a handle on it. Identification and valuation wise. 0 -
The model 94 in 25-35 you mention, left the factory in 1950.
The 25-35 is a more desirable caliber, but I'd have to see pictures to even give you a ball park idea. The most important factor is originality, be sure nothing has been altered or refinished.

Well, a 1950 30-30 could be worth $300 to $800?? dollars.... a .25-35 just a bit more due to caliber.
Better than average ain't that great..... WAG $6 bills.0 -
A vary reliable friend has the rifle in hand & is going to snd me pictures. It is 1000 miles away. Hope t have the pictures soon. 0 -
It could be a good one to get a hold of if its in original condition. How many 25-35 model 94's do you see, especially at the very tail end of that calibers production? That caliber definitely brings a premium.

Saw the pics & is really above average condition. From the pics I'd say at least 75%.
The guy is asking $950.000 -

I don't know how a 75% grading affects the value on a pre 64, 25-35 Winchester?
But on a collectible handgun, it puts it way down in "Shooter" category. The only way a knowledgeable collector would buy it, is if it is dirt cheap. Or perhaps a unknowing novice would buy it, because they weren't aware of how the condition problems affected value.0
