help identify these 2 long gun stocks ?
does anyone know what these stocks would be for ? it's got to be for a 2 piece stocked gun, obviously. at first I was thinking rifle, but it may be shotgun. any ideas ?
what has this type of receiver socket on it ? there is no hole in the lower tang recess for a screw, only a hole for the stock bolt itself, making me think perhaps they are shotgun stocks.
but the high cheek, flared grip, and finger grooves look like a rifle stock. any ideas ?
thanks

They look like Model 12 stocks to me but there should be an opening for a stock bolt under the buttplates 0 -
close but not quite, the model 12 is round at the wrist/receiver interface.
looking at more pics online, I think they are Mossberg 500 pump shotgun stocks ?0 -
With the interface and the cutout for the triggergroup, I'm pretty sure they're Mossberg stocks. 0 -
Granted the stocks aren't finished. But I have never seen such a extreme Monte Carlo, on a stock for a shotgun?
EDIT #1,
I guess I must have led a sheltered life?0 -
Trap Shooters Like HIGH comb because for the most part the target is climbing. 0 -
agreed, Monte Carlo is not really a shotgun style stock, but I guess they did make them like that at one time, the stocks are old.
looking at Boyd's, etc. online, I saw quite a few shotgun stocks with Monte Carlo cheeks on them.
I was always brought up, a stock for shotgun was a straight stock, no Monte Carlo.0 -

and these stocks have a flared pistol grip, like a Weatherby rifle stock !0 -
They look like they are made for a right hand shooter with left eye dominance 0
