Vintage 16 GA Barrel for what Shotgun ?????
Any way to identify the Maker of this vintage 16 GA Shotgun Barrel? 28" in length with a very nice bore. Threaded end is about 11/16" long. It is a straight barrel, no lug. Would like to get it back to the correct receiver. Thanks for the help!

2 stars reminds me of the choke markings on Belgium Browning A5's - so maybe a Belgium gun?? 0 -
2 3/4 so made from 1920's. Pump or autoloader perhaps. 0 -
Take a look at an ithica 0 -
Considering that I'm not seeing a barrel lug of any sort, I'm betting its for a bolt-action shotgun 0 -
The marking PROOF TESTED followed by the gauge number was used on Stevens Arms & Tool Company made guns. 0 -

I was thinking that as well, but IIRC most Stevens bolt guns had the brand name on the barrel also. Might be a really old Stevens, seem to remember the early guns having tapered barrel threads almost like a pipe thread would.0 -
