removal of grip enhancement pieces?

Not sure what they are called. How are they fastened? Can they be removed without damage to the firearm?

  grip adapters are held on by the grips themselves, just take off the grips and they can be easily removed

  Tyler's T grip.
  
  As mentioned, they attach via metal tabs under the grip panels, and are held in place by the standard grips. Take off the grips and the T-grip will come right off.
