AR-10
I was wondering if anyone knows what an Armalite AR-10 with a CKA lower receiver is worth. I believe it is either a portuguese or guatumalin style.

Your question is rather confusing? I might be wrong? I always thought that the AR 10 types. No matter what the different manufacturers call them, are .308 caliber.
As far as I know, the two DPMS guns you mentioned. Are both .223's?0 -
Rufe Both rifles I mentioned are 308/7.62x51 0 -
Dave45-70,
Those DPMS rifles are good entry level AR-10's. I have their standard model with the stainless 24" bull barrel, even though I did add a Timney trigger. I also have GAP-10, made by GA Precision, which is my golden standard, go to, when I need to use an AR-10. It is 3 times the cost though.
Rufe, DPMS, has mirror line ups of both the AR-10, and AR-15 models. It kind of makes it confusing, but they do.

quote:When one say AR-10, they are talking about ArmaLite. All other are "copies". The others you mentioned are 308 Win. AR's. Very different the an ArmaLite. Different mags and receivers, uppers and lowers. Maybe other parts. But all will do the job. They have them in the 243 Win. Is the way I will go for what you are looking for.

I do agree that the AR-10, is the ORIGINAL design of Eugene Stoner(The AR-15 came after). I agree that the other's are clones, some with different parts. There are MANY that share the same STONER magazine, and some that use FAL magazines.0 -
I would upgrade to the Oracle and leave the Panther behind, and still be under a grand.
good luck, Thor0 -

I have the Sportical and have been very happy with it for pigs and deer. I generally use it still hunting into the wind through thick swamps. Covey shoot on a bunch of pigs with Bushnell Holosight is a ton of fun. Even with no magnification I have no problem keeping 3" groups at 100 yds. 0 -
