NFA question
I'm really in the dark on this one so I figured I come to the experts.
Is a WWII era grenade launcher attachment for the M1 Garand considered an NFA restricted item? (Don't have one. The subject just came up in conversation and I had no idea as to the answer.)

I'm not absolutely sure? But I believe it's classed as a destructive device. Like the the pocket derringer holsters, that you can shoot from, without taking out the derringer. 0 -
No, The M7 Grenade Launcher is simply an attachment for the rifle and is not by itself a NFA Destructive Device.

State laws vary, and in some jurisdictions these launchers are restricted.0 -
Thanks gentlemen. I appreciate your time and expertise. 0 -

I knew a guy who got thrown in jail in California years ago, for selling them at a flea market. He had got hold of a whole case of them, and thought he had hit the jackpot. Next thing he knew, he wound up in jail.
Ultimately he got released and the charges dropped. Because the feds and local PD got into a pissing contest. Each one was trying to get the other, to file charges against him.0
