COMPAC SCOPE BRAND?

I have Rifle coming that has a 3x9 "Compac" brand named Scope mounted on it. Seller states optics are clear. Any idea about this brand of Scope? Quality? Time of Mfg.?

  Not listed in Stroebel's first edition. Probably a Store Brand. Ask about Country of Origin markings. The older ones will be Japanese, recent one's Chinese, or other low wage Asian countries.

  Rifle & Scope have arrived. "COMPAC" brand scope is 3x9x32, fine crosshair reticle. Nitrogen filled, Water Proof, Image Moving, Fully Coated, Japan. Mounted in period Buehler Base & Rings on K98 Sporter. Looks like a pretty good package overall.
