If none of our folks can help with the specific dimensions? You might consider contacting the customer service folks at Brownells. As 52's, have been made in the U.S. and Japan. Be sure and note where yours was made when contacting them. As our U.S. and the metric dimensions used overseas, aren't always the same.

I learned this years ago. With a first year of production Glock 17. I ordered a U.S. made aftermarket rear sight. That didn't fit the Metric dovetail that was made in Austria.

I've got a three leaf express sight with a large dovetail shy of 1 3/8". One fella said it was for a dangerous game rifle but left it at that.

    I'll measure one tonight, but I think it's 7/8" or 15/16".

"I've got a three leaf express sight with a large dovetail shy of 1 3/8". "..........these were never used on a m-52, you probably have an express sight made by (or similar to) N.E.C.G. see brownells part #661000031. this is a 2 leaf sight but they also make 3 leaf sights.

OK, Winchester 52B: Dovetail measures exactly 1.000" at the widest point (bottom).
