Holster S&W CORE Kimber Solo

1) i have a Desantis V3 pocket holster, i must have taken it in a trade. It seems to fit the Solo, trigger covered. Does anyone know a reason not to use it. after breaking in the gun i may carry it to replace my back up gun.

2)Can anyone recommend an OWB holster, not hard ones, for a S&W CORE. Fun gun, may occasionally carry.

  I have been CCWing various 9mm & 40 S & W's pistols, in pocket holsters for 12 years. They are only practical with loose pants with substantial/sturdy pockets. Not practical for dress/office pants or tight jeans. My favorite pants and shorts are the Carhart washed duck brand. If you can get away with wearing Carharts, or similar sturdy pants with big pockets, your good to go.

  i also have been pocket carrying my back up for years. Front left pocket.
  the choice of holster is my only concern.

  Some pocket holsters are to "sticky" and tight fitting, for quick presentations. Specially in the front pants pocket. Make sure you can get the pistol out of the pants quickly. Without the holster either sticking to it, or binding up in the pants pocket.

  Only you can determine if this holster is suitable for you or not. That's going to depend on the interaction of the gun, holster, your particular pocket, and anatomy.
  
  The main things are just whether or not the holster holds the gun in place in your pocket for drawing, and (more important) whether or not you can get the gun out of the holster quickly and safely.
  
  As Rufe says, depending on the gun, holster, and clothes in question, a quick draw may simply not be possible. You'll just have to try it with your own clothes and see if it works for you or not. If so, I'd say there is no reason not to pick this holster.
  
  Personally, I've found that pants pocket carry only really works for me with really small automatics (like Kel Tec 3AT and smaller). J-frame revolvers "curvy" shape makes them a little easier to slide out, but even those won't work with some types of pants. Also rubberized grips are nice for holding/shooting, but they tend to work against you in drawing out of a pocket by sticking on the way out.
  
  With respect to a holster for the "CORE" gun, sorry, don't have a recommendation, though a quick check with "Google" shows that there are several models out there by big makers that should work OK.

  Did you mean OWB(outside the waist band), or IWB(inside the waist band)?
  
  For all my carry guns, I use the Alessi, CQC-S. They are not cheap, but are almost as fast as a paddle holster to put on, but as secure as a belt thru.
