Anyone tell me When a Ithaca model 72 .22 Ser # 72049008 was made. Any info is always appreciated.

They were made 1973 to 1978 by Erma Werke, West Germany for Ithaca. As far as I know, I don't think there's a database for dates of manufacture. You might try asking on the Ithaca Owners Forum:

If they were made and put together in GERMANY they will have German Proof date code If made in Germany but put together in US ????

I do believe they were completely made there,,I can tell you this,, they are as slick as a Winchester 9422-
