1895 Winchester Feeding Issue
I picked up a Winchester 1895 in 3040 Krag after discovering that it has a feed issue. Made in 1922.
The cartridges lie flat upon loading, and do not pick up to be chambered. The only way to unload it seems to be to snag the bullet tips with a bent wire.
So experts, is this going to be a magazine spring issue? If so, are they available? Or do we make one?

Way back in the 70's I shot one in 405. The only issue was making sure the rims didn't interlock.

We have fussed a bit with it without a take-apart.
It seems that the feed works properly when the cartridges are pushed down as deep as possible. Any more comments?0
