Barrel stamp, left side of barrel, just forward of frame, does not compute with what I can find on lookup websites. It is: "KV 89."

Serial number is N156928M.

So, when was it made?

  Shotgun barrels are easily changed.
  
  Best to contact CS folks at Remington, with the # SN. GOOGLE, for a 800 number.
