a little help please jc higgins 22 lr
Hey guys and gals i just got a jc higgins mod. 103.13 22 rifle that has the tube feed.
problem is it will not pu the round when the bolt is worked.
from what i can see there is a piece that has to drop down when the bolt is closed and it seems to not be droping down far enough to let the shell come into the lifter.
was wondering if anyone has had the same problem and if maybe there is a part that is missing causing it . Ill try and get a pic of it.
thanks taz

Last page check to see if all the cartridge carrier stuff (5 items) are present.
I think this rifle was made by like Mossberg. I'll check the crossover chart to see and look for a better schematic.
added a Sears 103.13 is a Marlin 81.0 -

ok I checked the link out and found the lifter not sure if its a sring on the inside or not. the hammer like stop, looks like it needs to come down another 1/4 of a inch in order for it to let the shell in.

i think i figured the problem out, its the lifter paw. the back of it seems really worn and you would know thats the part thats sold out lol.
thanks charliemeyer0070 -
There are certainly plenty of other parts dealers in addition to Numric. John Stimson knows a lot about Sears models and might be able to point you to a parts dealer, or .22 specialist. 0 -

Thanks He Dog for the info.
I did do a little tinkering today on it and got it going. the lifter paw was in fact wore, done a little build up on it with the welder and shes spitting them out as fast as I can work the bolt.
