Can anyone help me to find the date of manufacture for a Walther PPK/S serial number 019538?

  The german guns have letters and or numbers in the proof mark that tell the year

  PS is referring to markings, such as the "KC" on this German made PPKS. This happens to be the date code for 1992.
  
  If yours is one of the U.S. made ones? Might be hard to date. I have never run across any serial number data, for the U.S. made Walther's?

  Except that all the PPK/S' were made after the PPK was banned from US import at the end of 1968.
