Thanks, Rufe. I was also wondering about the "Made in New Haven, CT" markings. I had the impression that the M in the serial number stands for Miroku, Japan.

Only thing I could find, is that the Super X Model 1. Was produced between 1974 and 1981. 0 -
them durn things were heavy as pigs
but WOW did they point fantastic and shoot just as smooth
I was told the man who designed them, also designed the
Browning Gold and when you put them side by side you
sure can see it0 -

Due to U.S. customs law. Dating from the 1890's. If it was made in Japan. It had to be marked with it's country of origin, i.e. Japan.0
