Original .22 Short Black Powder Load
Does anyone know what the original load of black powder was in Smith & Wesson's No. 1 cartridge, now known as the .22 Short.
In the book by Neal and Jinks it's stated as 2.6 grains, but Cartridges of the World says 4 grains.
Thanks,
Johnny

Thank you 11b6r. I understand Mr. Suydam's work is an excellent reference. I always enjoyed his Q&A forum in THE GUN REPORT magazine years back.
