Serial number 2290 in 32 rimfire. Anyone know what year it was made?

Is there a patent date on the gun? What is the barrel length? Is it a Dictator or Dictator No.2?

I have a working No. 2, SN 2767, a partial box of ammo and a copy of "Fifty Years of Gunmaking, The Story of the Hopkins and Allen Arms Company, 1867 to 1917".

It only says dictator on the top, barrel from frame to muzzle is 2.25 inches.

Per my reference material, your H&A Dictator was made somewhere between 1871 & 1879.
