S&W 38spl M&P - Frame Info for Tyler T-Grip?
I have M&P 38 Special with a 400,000 serial number. I'd like to get a Tyler T-Grip for it.
What frame letter is it? And is it a Round or Square butt?

Thanks Nav and beantownshootah!
Couple more questions:
Serial number 43708X on the butt and cylinder match. There is a different number under the barrel - 515454. Should that barrel # match the other numbers?
Also reading my old Blue Book of Gun Values it mentions that there should be a Maltese Cross stamped before and after ".38 S&W Special & US Service CTG's." The barrel on this has neither of those markings. I guess, I'm wondering is this the original barrel for this gun?
Better pictures outside in the sun:

The M&P is a K frame. The picture is a square butt. 0 -
K (medium) frame, square butt.
For future reference:

J (small) frame on bottom); K (medium) frame in middle; N (large) frame, on top:
J (left bottom), K (right bottom), N (top):
L frame is similar to K frame, but has been beefed up in a few places to handle magnum rounds:

Uncommon S & W, drobs. A M & P target model, probably from the teens. Looks original. Take care of it, not many of them still around.
EDIT #1,
Number under barrel should match frame, cylinder etc.
Left side view, appears that front sight has been bubbaed unfortunately. Although to my eyes the front sight does appear to be similar to the one used on M & P target models. To bad, a early M & P target in original and VG condition. Would have substantial collectors value.0 -
You have a 1903 hand ejector target model in 38 S&W, don't mess with it [:0] Looks like this.
Is the barrel 6 or 6 1/2 inches [?]
Just put the T grip on it and shoot light loads in it [;)]0
