Pivot scope mount
Who are some German makers of pivot mounts.? I have one on a gun I bought and trying to figure out the maker. I thought EAW, the front mount looks right, but therear doesn't look the same atleast for what they are currently making.
Thanks

I would venture to guess that if it is not a EAW , and is old it is a Ernst Apel Gmbh.
You can check with them and they may identify it. They have been doing this since
WW1 . And they are EAW in effect.
Only other pivot mount company I have seen is Kilic Feintechnik GmbH.0 -
Thanks, the scope and mount are older then the gun, the gun is a Winchester classic in 375 hh, probably from the 90's. But the scope and mount look older, I would guess the early 80's. It's a zeiss diavari marked west Germany, I felt the mounts wre Germany to because of the look and design. Just the way they are made reminds me very much of the quality of the HK 05 mount, not that they look anything alike. Just the machining and engineering of it. I figured the bases they used probably were not hard to get for a popular gun like a 70. Mainly I would like to get other bases to use it on another rifle. Figured if I know the maker it wouldn't be hard to find the for a Remington 700.

Sounds to me like you got more scope and mount value than rifle value. And attempting to share with rem 700 is even less rifle value. But before you go off searching consider that the scope position within the rings on the winchester may not be correct for the remington. So if you try to switch you may need to loosen the rings and reposition scope
( eye relief / bolt handle lift) which takes away from the return to zero feature. You may need not just bases but a complete ring set to keep the return to zero possible.
And if the remington does not have iron sights , and allow front scope bell to clear then a detachable scope on it is a mute effort.
Perhaps mounts are available , un drilled, and of various height, in which case a competent gunsmith could prepare mount for a remington receiver profile.0
