sorry about that, rimfire converted to centerfire 0 -
The centerfire conversion is easy enough; a few custom loaders sell ammo, but really it would be a handloading proposition. Lee makes dies, 348 winchester or 8mm lebel brass works fine. 0 -
Dixie Gun Works. At one time sold a conversation for 19th Century rimfire cartridges. It consisted of a newly manufactured brass cartridge, of the correct size. With a hole in the base the correct size for a .22 rimfire blank.
The .22 blank was inserted into the cartridge case. Which was than loaded conventionally with black powder and a bullet. This loaded cartridge was placed in the chamber. In the proper position so that the hammer could hit the base of the .22 blank.
It was kind of cumbersome. But at least it gave you a way of shooting obsolete rimfire rifles, that ammo wasn't available for.0 -
I've had good luck converting .348 Winchester to a Vetterli round. I got some nice dies from http://oldyoti.com
Once I cut the brass to the proper length and lube them well, the dies reshape it to match the cartridge factory specs. [:)]0 -
Here's some 348 Win brass to get you started. Compared to the other auctions the BIN price relatively cheap.
