Bling as many guns were plated after the war. Takes away from collector interest & value By as much as 75% if the guns were all matching before hand . [:(][:(] make a good set to go with 28 inch wheels on your HUMMER. Sorry don't intend to put the guns down but this is the sad truth The luger looks to be a 6 inch barrel NAVY model
in original but only original condition these are HIGH DOLLAR

As perry stated any collector value is now gone. They are only worth as much as someone who really wants a chrome plated luger or 1911 for a shooter. So long as they function properly I'd say $300 would top dollar. They could of course be restored to original finish but you will never recoup the money on that. I would only consider doing it if they were family heirlooms and you wanted to get rid of the chrome.

The picture does not show much detail.
That is indeed a Navy Luger but I cannot tell if it is a 1904 or a 1906 or a Commercial. Either way it would be worth a good deal of money IF IT HAD NOT BEEN PLATED.

    I cannot even tell if the .45 is a 1911 or 1911A1.
The serial number does not match either a Remington UMC from WWI or a Remington Rand from WWII. Therefore it is probably a "mixmaster" with one or the other Remington slide on a WWI Colt frame.
Very likely a WWII or post war arsenal refurb. Those are getting to be of collector interest and some value IF NOT PLATED.

As perry says, they are souvenir guns that have been plated to dress them up in the eye of a veteran from before everything was collectable. Could they be stripped and blued? Maybe, but it would be expensive.

I won't guess a dollar value, but I think ruger41 is low. Heck, I would pay more than $300 for a shootable Luger even though plated.
Do you want to sell them or just admire and show n tell?

Spray n bake? Ewww. Better to stick with the nickel plating.

The Portuguese navy bought regular 4" Lugers. I see nothing about them using the 6" P04 of the German navy.

rong, yes, there are methods to remove chrome or nickel plating and leave bare steel to be blued. It might be worth the trouble for a full restoration if the gun had not been buffed hard before plating. Many such plating jobs are over surfaces that are wavy, uneven, with dished out pin holes and erased markings. Even if not, it would be an expensive proposition.

Sprayed down with a spray and bake finish they would make wonderful shooters IMHO. I don't even like toggle tops but for $300 I would gladly own one.

From your description of the crowned "M", the Luger sounds like a Portugese model. The "M" is for King Manuel.

About the least you can buy a working 1911 for is $350, so the value should be more than that. For comparison, here's one I happened to see earlier. [urlhttp://www.GunBroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=405219125][/url]

Considering the luger as shooter grade, than the value should be between $500-900.

There has to be some clever method
of removing the chrome without damaging
the base metal and then having it restored.
Not much except time travel is impossible today
and I bet we have figured that out, just waiting
for missing "pieces " to be invented.
Prolly pricey but how common are they.

I sold a plated Luger looking just like that for 600 bucks here last year. The holster brought another 250!
