Link catcher for 1919
I just ordered a 1919a4 should be inherent in about a week or 2.
I am trying to find a way to catch the links as they come out,
I'll be using 308 rounds and it will be sitting on a m2 tripod.
Any idea what I can use.
I'm trying to avoid taking a magnet to the range to find all the links scattered about the ground.

Looks like you could use a thin piece of sheet metal (with a zippered bag attached) to cover the port hole by attaching to the two near by top screw and the mount. 4' 22" in the movie0 -
Problem is I don't have it yet to make any measurements, and I don't have fabricating facilities where I am, I. Would like to have everything set before it comes.
Some mentioned devices that fit into tripod that hold Ammon can for full belts and also holds 2 cans 1 on the right side for links, and another under the gun to catch brass.
I haven't seen it myself and don't know how you can fit the can under the gun, it sits pretty low to ground as it is.
I guess I'll have to wait till it comes in and than find a place to fashion on something.
Thanks for the idea.0 -
I've seen simpler set ups that attached on each side of the rifle.
I have a belt holder/feeder for mine, but no link catcher.

I have a unit that attaches to both my .308 and 30-06 1919's. It catches the brass and links in ammo cans. They are made here in So Cal. It attaches to the standard tripod and uses a fed can, link can and brass can. Keeps everything nice and clean. As you can see, the brass can slides onto a tray under the gun.

Can I get info on contact information0 -
Do you know where I can contact the manufacturer? 0 -
I am not sure if the guy who made these is still doing it, but try <beltfedshooters.com> and <1919a4.com>. There might be links there or someone there may know if they are still in production. 0 -
