Amos Dunst does not Google and I am not going to guess a dollar value, but that is a handsome revolver. And short "Virgin Dragons" are quite uncommon.

I am not normally a Big Fan of the Virginia Dragoon " even thou I live in Va. " Most Tried to look Case Color butcame off a Motley GRAY not very good looking. How ever That is a very nice pistol Tastefully Engraved
It is not "OVER THE TOP" but the two gold rings do denote Class.

    EDIT
Hello I got in touch with a master engraver that I know. He looked up the name AMOS DUNST on the engraver'd GUILD and this person is NOT a GUILD member I then sent him a copy of your post . He stated that most likely this person worked in a JEWELRY store and did engraving there but mostly NON GUN ITEMS I would suggest trying some of the Jewelry
Stores in the area where the guns were made in northern Virginia

Looks nice, fancier wood on the grips would help. I'd say it helped the value a lot.

The short barrel is what caught my eye right off more so than the engraving, very nice pistol & just enough engraving....not over-powering, sorry I'm no help on the price estimate as I've never seen one before......again, very nice [;)]

Cannot get a really close look at engraving, but what I can see does not impress me with the quality of his work. I stess I cannot see it well, and better closeups of some areas would help.

Level of coverage is tasteful, but does limit the utility of a utility pistol. If closer/clearer pictures show the work to be of high quality I would think it would enhance the value of the pistol. Value would have to be in the eye of the potential buyer.

A very unique and beautiful work of industrial art...

Without the custom engraving value roughly 400 to 500.oo

With the engraving which could be one of a kind would be in the eye of the collector. I would venture upwards of $1,000.oo

Good luck with your beautiful piece of work!

There's a plain jane version on the auction side now with an opening bid of $600. No takers yet, though.
