If you are asking, if they are plug-n-play, then, no they are not. There will be some professional fitting/headspacing that needs to take place, at the very least.

The Model Seven action is not the same as a short 700 action, which is a myth that a lot of folks believe. While it is based off from a 700 action, it has been lightened, and slight dimension changes have been made.

Lastly, if that was a question that needed to be asked, then I strongly suggest that the one asking should seek the help of a professional, full service gunsmith, before attempting this.

    Kingfisher1,

The thread form for the Remington models you mention for Remington barrels is 1-1/16"x16 TPI so yes you can screw a barrel into the receiver but you will not achieve headspace or the alignment of the sights at top dead center.

Switching barrels on Remington actions requires a gunsmith, lathe, chamber reamer (sometimes) and tools to achieve the setback to establish headspace with go/nogo gauges.

    Best.

    Thanks guys (nononsense,tsr1965)

You have answered my question. I was specifically concerned about the threads, assuming that all the fitting would nonetheless need to be done. thanks again, Kingfisher1
