Need help identifying this cylinder
Hello!
Can anyone ID this cylinder? It appears to be .38 caliber, although the .38 special is way too long, and feels a little sloppy. Here's some pics. Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas to everyone!

Hello!
I found this cylinder assembly among a bunch of parts, and I am trying to ID the maker and model. It is chambered for .38 Special, although it might be .357. It has the part #'s of 272 on the crane and cylinder, and a serial # of 311973 if these #'s help.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

The only thing i could come up with was one of Bo Clerke guns. The cylinder in your photo appears to be to well made, to be one of his products though?
Do you think it's possible that your cylinder was a scrap part, because it was machined incorrectly?

rufe-snow,
Thanks for the response. I don't believe that this cylinder was machined wrong because it has been fired. It is very well made, and has a sharp ratchet and edges. I'm having a heck of a time ID'ing the maker.

Possibly a home made replacement? 0 -
It is a ARMS Co. 22 lr cylinder. They were made in Nashville, Tenn. around the 60/70's. Like RG/Rohm style. 0 -
