308 bullet question
Recently acquired a box of 308 cal 150 gr hp "copper jack" rifle bullets. They are in great shape and look old, however I can't seem to find any info on them. Got them in a package deal and really don't have a use for them, just curious. Thanks.
Not looking for load data, just history on them.

toad67,
Your lack of detail regarding these bullets is preventing most of us from even hazarding a WAG. Maybe some more information about the box and a couple of pictures of the box and a bullets would help some of the members add a little to your search.

I think you may have an early {1980s} bullet made by Jack Carter.
He was working with different ways of copper jacketing hunting bullets.
From his work came the great Partition bullet with 2 lead cores separated by a copper covering.0 -
I'll try to post a pic, however it is a 3.25" x 3.25" x 1" deep 2 piece cardboard box with a paper label listing what I mentioned in my op.
