Winchester M70 Pre 64/Post 63 Question

Do the pre '64, and post '63 actions have the same footprint? In other words, will a post '63 reciever mount in a pre '64 stock? All other things being equal, standard LA to standard LA, etc. I realize the barrel channels/contours may be different, but mainly wondering about mounting a later reciever in an eariler stock at this point. TIA for any help.
