H&R mainspring installation?

Hello all.

I have an older H&R M922 revolver with the flat mainspring that powers the hammer. I need some advice on how to install this spring. Does the hammer go in first? Is / was there any factory reapir literature produced?

  Yes. hammer in first. Them slide the mainspring in, having to compress the spring a little to fit under the hammer May need pliers to bend the spring.
