Howa--Boyd's
I have a NIB Howa "JRS" inleted stock, in Rem. 700 SA BDL. Will the Howa .223 barreled action drop in as the rem 700 will. I'm hoping this is a less expensive way to have a new 223. THX

OR IS IT THE
Wby. Vanguard that is the same as the Rem. 700? THX0 -
is the Vanguard, and Howa that are the same. I do believe that the Remington is slightly different. Nononsense, could tell you for sure.

I can tell you for certain that a Howa or a Vanguard have NOTHING in common with a Remington 700.
The Vanguard is a Howa in disguise.0 -
They do take the same scope bases. 0 -
Different actions except in the use of the same scope bases. Heck no the stock won't interchange. 0 -
not even close to the same footprint. 0 -
Hawkshaw,
I have a brand new Weatherby Vanguard composite stock, off from a 22-250 Vanguard. If interested, I'll put it on the auction side at a reasonable price.

CapnMidnight; would your stock fit my (2006+/-) Howa Model 1500 heavy barrel, which is also .223? If so, I for one would be interested in seeing it come up for auction, as I have the "cheap" synthetic stock on mine0
