at a local gun show today I bought a luger magazine, very well made but does anybody recognise the marking?

MEC GAR is the only outfit I know of. Unless Triple K, is also making them? Could be they changed their markings, over the years?
EDIT #1,
MEC GAR made all kinds of mags in the past. Some with pretty strange markings. I got hold of some mags in the past. With markings similar to the one in this photo, off the net. Didn't know who made them? But was latter informed, that they were a MEC GAR product.

"New", (non-vintage), manufacturer? Maybe. Don't recognized the marking.
Question, as cannot tell from the photo-- is the bottom wood? As that most likely would discount a newer maker.

Rufe, I believe your .38 Super magazine, is a Metalform.
The Luger magazine is wide open for guesses, but there is somebody here who will know. There were no doubt many outfits in Europe who made magazines for a lot of different kinds of guns that were common 'back in the day'.0 -
Post your pic and question here, they'll know.

thanks babun, it looks like I 'luck out' today.
This magazine is for a Swiss 1906/29 7.65 luger. These are for the late model Swiss and are of high quality.0 -
I agree with Metalform for the .38 super. Good quality, they contract to make a lot of "factory" mags. 0
