Top Notch The last time I purchased one at Camp Perry if you buy from them direct. They did sell some BLEM's at one time but sold those at a much reduced price just for guys to build functional guns and did not care if there was a scratch or defect in bluing. If you ask for a slide and frame you can get the two together that have match grade FIT. 0 -
The one I have is decent. I assembled years ago, using it with various different caliber slides/barrels.
I don't know anything about their recent production frames though? Mine dates to the 90's. It's probably old enough to vote.0 -

Buddy just did one for himself.Had the factory engrave a maltease cross on the slide to comemerate his fire dept service and a custom serial number using the N number from his airplane .Top notch build. 0 -
FWIW, its an open secret that Caspian's frames are cast by Ruger, or more precisely, at Ruger's Pine Tree facility.
Ruger actually has the most advanced casting facility in the USA there. Not only do they make all sorts of Ruger gun parts there (including the Ruger 1911 frames) but also any number of other parts for a number of other gun manufacturers, too.
Caspian then does the final fitting and assembly. I think people like to argue the merits of cast vs forged parts, but I've never heard anyone say anything bad about the quality of these frames.0 -
Should've gotten the Titanium frame from them before California got stupid way back when (that time). I suppose I could have a bro pick up a frame and slap a slide on in and do the transfer when dude visits. Then again it might be difficult to explain why the frame has my name as the serial number [:D]. 0
