Your best bet for the most $$, is to list them on the auction side. At a shop, they will give you 50% of the retail value, at best. You might get $100.00 for the Mossberg, and $200.00-250.00 for your Marlin at a shop.

As a firearms dealer I will tell you flat out that taking the guns to a dealer will bring you the least amount of money. You would be better off selling them on Gun Broker or making a private sale. 0 -
Thank you very much for the timely replies 0 -
I'm thinking they will offer you about $325 or less for the pair.
I'm guessing you could get $500+ on the auction side.0 -
that marlin (without pics) should sell for about 400+ 0 -
I would list both here with 4-5 good pictures each on a 24 hour auction and You will probably have your money by Monday. And you will get a lot more for them. 0 -
But, OTOH, time is money. If your time is valuable take them to your LGS.
I've always been satisfied with what I get on GB, but I spend about 4 hours per gun, including packing & making a trip to the PO. A dealer may spend less time, but not much less. And, he's doing it to earn a living; I'm just a collector/shooter, some my time fooling with guns is free.

If you do not feel like listing them yourself etc then see if your local dealer will sell them here or in shop on consignment. Will bring you more than selling them outright to him needless to say and save you the hassle of selling them your self. 0 -
after reading the replys I decided to hold on to them both. Do you need an FFL to sell your own firearms on GB? 0 -
No, you do not need an FFL. The guns will need to be shipped to an FFL unless you do an in state face to face sale. Someone will come along soon that knows much more than I do and clarify this. [:)] 0
