4516 Should be a better concealed carry than the 4506 due to shorter barrel and smaller frame.0 -
Ahhh...the 4516...
S&W's smallest, true 3rd Generation 45 semi-auto. It is a traditional DA/SA auto, and I do believe it has ambidextrous safety's. I say the smallest, because there is one smaller, but does not use a barrel bushing...that would be the CS45...CS standing for CHEIF's SPECIAL.
They are pretty standard, and may have some of the same symptoms that abbreviated 1911's have with reliability.
Hope this adds.

I have owned one for over 10 years. It has been completely reliable and accuracy is decent. I like the size of it, but it is a little on heavy side.
Extra Magazines are a little on the pricy side0 -
Thanks guys!! And your right heavy! I heard the mags were high but I have 4 so that's all I will need!! Again thanks to everybody!! Mike 0 -
You can use mags from the 645/4506 series, BUT insert carefully as slamming them in can snap the nose off the ejector. 0
