Are black powder pistols registered through the feds.....if not what do you do to get them,just buy them or what????

i have a black powder pistol with 3 barrells.it is aprox 9 inches long and each barrell isremovable to shoot either 1 ,2 or 3 at a timeit has a pat. num. in small numbers and theletters cmc. would like to know how old it is and what it would be worth. 0 -

In general, if the words BLACK POWDER appear anywhere on it, it is a repro. When the originals were made, there was only black powder- called gunpowder. The term black powder came into use to distinguish it from modern smokeless powder. 0 -
All the info I have right now it says glukman Birmingham 1861. He is going to email me pics. I have not put my hands on it trying yo help someone else. It would be better if he posted on here. I can't answer all the questions without having gun in hand 0 -

Except for kit guns, repos usually have some markings that identify their source.0
