Action differences with 1964 - 68 Win. 70: safety not on bolt sleeve; 'blind' magazine - no floorplate. Other differences: non-walnut stock, inletted for blind magazine

my first deer rifle was a 670 in 30-06. rifle would shoot great group with any load i feed it. As rich said those differences plus had a deep dark blueing that was not a high polish. but held up great. I still have firearm but it was burned up in a house fire an havent gotten around to restoreing it.

Some 670's have the standard 70 bolt sleeve safety and some have a side trigger-block safety. Also, some have cheek piece stocks and some don't. I don't know about the difference between a 670 and 670A. Check the auction side; you'll see them both ways.
