Winchester 670/670A Question
As I understand it, the 670/670A was made from 1967-'73. Are they the same action as the model 70 of the same time period? What are the differances between the 670, and 670A? TIA for any input.

Action differences with 1964 - 68 Win. 70: safety not on bolt sleeve; 'blind' magazine - no floorplate. Other differences: non-walnut stock, inletted for blind magazine 0 -
my first deer rifle was a 670 in 30-06. rifle would shoot great group with any load i feed it. As rich said those differences plus had a deep dark blueing that was not a high polish. but held up great. I still have firearm but it was burned up in a house fire an havent gotten around to restoreing it. 0 -
Some 670's have the standard 70 bolt sleeve safety and some have a side trigger-block safety. Also, some have cheek piece stocks and some don't. I don't know about the difference between a 670 and 670A. Check the auction side; you'll see them both ways. 0
