Serial number 169785 Maddis says 1946 but I'd like confirmation from Bert or someone who has his book.

  March 1946, and like Trap stated, there are a times when Madis has the correct DOM listed. In this case, it was shortly after Model 62A production hade resumed following WW II. Production was halted in late November 1942, and did not resume until January of 1946.
