Colt SA 22 LR Question
I was shown a Colt SA 22 LR with an "H" suffix in the ser. number (1XXXXXH). I can't find any info on that suffix. Looked to be nickel plated, and the grips were some kind of white plastic that didn't fit well. Any info on that suffix? I'm trying to get it in my hands to get pics, and will post if I do. Thanks

Was the frame steel or alloy? 0 -
Are you sure the "H" wasn't a "K"? It sounds like one of the nickel-plated Colt Scouts. 0 -
My K series is Nickel, made in the mid-60's, I think it's the only ones Colt Nickeled....it came with Walnut grips not plastic/rubber and all steel. [;)] 0 -
Well, I was pretty sure it was an "H", but now I'm not so sure! LOL
It belongs to an elderly friend who says he bought it in about 1963. The grips are definitely not original. The butt of the grip is engraved with the normal swirl pattern. When I looked at it I didn't have very good lighting, so it probably is a "K". I'll get a better look at it. Thanks for the replies!!0
