Contender-10" 44Mag question

I'm contemplating buying a T-C Contender with a 10" BBl, in 44 mag. Is this enough gun for deer to say 100 Yd's. OR hogs to say 50 yd's? Assuming premium bullet, and proper shot placement.

  short answer...yes........but the 14" would be a better choice (lots nicer to shoot)

  I don't think you need premium bullets.

  For pigs I would prefer a good Hard Cast WFN over any premium JHP, but you will be more then happy with the Contender, just be forewarned, they can be very addictive, you start with one frame and one barrel, next thing you know you have 5 frames with 5 barrels for each
