Close-up quality photos of proof marks required, for accurate identification.

See "STICKY", for instructions on posting photos.

The number "55" is stamped on the underside of the barrel. A reference shows that this model was imported 1956-1963. Could the "55" mean 1955 mfg?

What other markings are on the pistol? Other than the manufacturers slide legend.

    None.

I removed the grips and there are no markings on the frame under the grips.

Don't know what you have? Both the Swiss and Germans, put proof marks on their guns.

Just the slide legend, serial number, and the number 55, doesn't appear to be correct. Unless it was some kind of presentation/gift, or a lunch box special.

1955 to 1958 should have no muzzle brake. 1958 and later has brake.
