Best load for the money?
I want to reload some .45 Colt. What would the best combination of powder and primers for a all around load? Using 230gr. round nose cast or 250gr. cast. Not looking for perfect accuracy, just most cost effective.

Are you loading for a SAA or a lever gun? I like the Lyman 452424 and W 231. About 1000 rounds per pound. These days I think you use whatever appropriate powder you can find. 0 -
My take on the most economical/cost effective load. Would be a 230 grain round nose. Same as used in the 45 ACP. Over a light load of fast burning powder. 231/A A 2/ Bullseye/ 700 X, ect. Depending on the powder, overall length, amount of crimp etc. Your looking at 6 1/2 to 8 grains. 0
