Both would be pre Model 17 & 18. Made in 1951, with a "K" prefix.
As they are both over 60 years old. Pre Models 17 & 18 in 99%. Going to be high dollar collectors guns.0 -
Rufe-Snow Thanks for the prompt Reply Yes They do have serial number on the cylinder as well as on the Butt Be cause of the long space
between the K - - - 110769 and the K - - - 132642 I did not know enough to call the letter K a prefix. as you can tell I know very little about S&W Double action pistols all of these guns have been in storage over 40 years and shot very little before Owner/ Buyer died. One item is a LNITB savage model 99 "E?" in 300 savage. but with a gunsmith installed Pachmayr pad. It has 2 power vintage Weaver 2X scope with HORIZONTAL cross hair and tapered Vertical post. Also a MINT in factory leather case Browning superposed 20 Ga. round knob but atlas it Also has a Gunsmith installed Pachmayr pad. Thanks again RS0 -
Karl,
The model 17 should probably have a 6" barrel, pre 17s where K 22 Masterpiece
The model 18 should have a 4" barrel, different sights and was called the K 22 Combat Masterpiece.
If your going to have Kasey put them on the auction side, please let me know.
Thank you,

Thanks WD I really don't know much about S&W double action revolvers. I like the single action No 3 targets[:)] With the grips off the side plate has 4 screws visible one flat head under the grips and the other 3 Pan head also then one in the front trigger guard BOW
Is this then considered a 4 screw or 5 screw I have heard of both terms and did not really know what they were talking about Thanks. Not many of my pistols go roundy round most go shuckady shuck [:D]0
