Remington model 11(Pre-Browning)
Just got an old Remington Model 11(looks like a Browning) , looking for a stock and forearm. Will the stock from a Browning work on this model? Will anything inter-change with this model?

"Will anything inter-change with this model?".......not much. the design is the same but parts toreances are different. stocks do not interchange. Stocks are available, but there are several variations so you need to know which variation you have. 0 -
As MIKE WISKEY said, there are three series of M11. You will need to measure the receiver and trigger plate tangs.
C&P from Boyds site
Remington 11 12GA
Top Tang Bottom Tang
Type 1 3-5/8" 3-1/16"
Type 2 3-5/8" 3-1/4"
Type 3 3-3/8" 3"
I do know that a Browning barrel CAN NOT be used in the Remington. The extractor and ejector are different.
The Browning friction piece and friction ring can be used as well as all of the screws with exception of the tang screw. Same thread, different length.
I make a habit of pointing out to new Rem 11 owners that the recoil cushion in the rear of the receiver needs to be inspected.
If it is badly cracked, badly mushroomed (a little mushrooming is normal), oil damaged, chunks missing or completely missing it needs to be replaced. This cushion keeps the bolt from slamming into the rear of the receiver and cracking it.
It will look something like one of these.
