There was a special magazine box w/attached ejector, a short follower, a bent wire follower spring.

BTW, all the Hornet parts for the pre-'64 Model 70 Hornet rifles except the bolt will work on your 54, you don't need actual 54 parts.

I have seen a 54 hornet that had been rebarreled to 222 rem. the bottom metal was off a standard rifle but the magazine box and follower appeared to be a remington 700. rifle functened and shot well.

Upon further inspection of my bolt and trying it in my Mod 54, I found it's a Model 70 Hornet bolt. It had a M54 breech bolt sleeve assy screwed into it and that's why the person who sold it to me thought it was for a Mod 54. I saw one recently sell for $150.00 so I guess it will be put on the auction block for perhaps someone looking to restore a Mod 70 that had been converted to a 222 Rem. Thanks fellows for your input.

    Goatman,

Do you have both inner and outer magazines boxes and are you putting them upper for sale if you do? Also do you have the Hornet follower and magazine spring"
