H&R ULTRA RIFLE PARTS
Recently picked up one in 25-06 for a deal. Problem is the lifter/striker is broken in the receiver. Does anyone know where i can locate one or the whole assembly would be fine. iI have checked Brownells and numrich to no avail. any help would be appreciated .... thanks

Is this a rifle 30 years old or older bolt action[?] I Think SAKO made them. But I though they were called model 332 0 -
I believe your rifle is a breakopen single shot. I bought one once with the same problem. I think you can get the parts from H&R. It might be a pain to fix, akin to building a ship in a bottle. I put my barrel on another H&R Ultra action and kept everything else for parts. Someday, I might get around to fixing it. Let me know if you get yours repaired. If you do use your barrel on another H&R make certain it's not a shotgun receiver that is cast. Ultra rifles take a forged steel receiver due to high pressures. 0 -
Sorry didnt specify, it is the sb2 single shot. I have thought about just changing barrels like you have since I have two others one in 308 and another in 7mm-08. But would rather have it as a complete unit if can be fixed. Im gonna give it a shot and will post progress if able to fix. Just getting parts is first hurdle 0 -
Still in production AFAIK. Parts should be available from whoever the company belongs to now. 0 -
i think i have a new lifter/ striker in my shop. simple to fix if you have done it before. you will need to use a slave pin to reassemble. 0 -

Ok im not much of a gunsmith and usually hire it done but thought id try this on my own. Can you explain slave pin? is it basically assemble prior to dropping it in then drive out slave with pin through receiver when re assembling0 -
