S&W Model 40 DOM?

Serial #22946 .38 Spl. Appears 100%. I know they came out around 1953 & about 30,000 were made until L prefix. I'm guessing about 1967. Your opinions?

  The Smith book shows 1952-1971 serial 1 to 30160. That's about 1587 per year. At that rate it would take about 14 years to get to your serial number, so a wild guess using some math would put your gun at about 1966.

  Contact S & W for a specific date. Only thing in the book is "1952-1971".
