broken safety on fiearms international rifle
Recently I acquired such a rifle. It has a slide lever safety on the right side of the receiver. It is marked made in Belgium, which I assume means FN Mauser.
The knob is missing which means it doesn't work. I can not find anything about a replacement safety. Does this mean the trigger has to be replaced? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Pic's would help. Not enough information to help, an after market trigger with a sliding safety should be an easy replacement if parts can't be found or made for what remains of your existing one.

Does the trigger have a housing that all the trigger parts are in/on? 0 -
Yes. The knob above the stock is the only thing missing; it has been broken off. 0 -

A handy guy would just make some kind of extension "L" shape piece and silver solder or weld it on. Would be a good idea to take the remaining broken piece off the trigger assembly before applying heat. 0 -
JpTatum- If the trigger housing says Finland on it, it is a Sako trigger. They are sold here occasionally. Look in the auctions under Sako. If not listed try the other internet sites. It would be less trouble if someone could repair the one you have. If it is a Sako trigger, E-GunParts has the part # 1175160-Mike 0
