Firing Pin for Remington 11-48
I need a firing pin for the above listed shotgun. I have discovered that there are 2 different lengths. A 2-15/16" length which interchanges with an 11-87, and is easy to get, and a 3-1/16" length which is an earlier? version. I need the longer one, and can't find one. Places I have checked: GB Auction, Brownell's, Midway, Nurmrich, and Wisner's.
I bought the shorter one, and built up the hammer end with the welder. That got the thing running, but the weld is soft and is already starting to pein over a bit, so it's not going to last forever.
Anyone have any other ideas for parts places? Thanks in advance for ant help.

Measures approx. 2 7/8 inches long
Paper work, from the factory reads: Special Notice. New style interchangeable firing. To be used on Models 11-48, Spt. 48, Spt. 58, 870 and 878. Although the overall length of this new pin is slightly shorter, it is the same length as measured from the retaining pin slot to the front end. The new design increases firing pin life and functions perfectly replacing the old type.0 -
