Anyone know what a one piece base marked 22 fits?

  The Buehler base #22 is the base for the Remington 722. Since the receiver of the 722 is the same as the newer 700 (short action), the number was dropped on later models and it was renamed for the 700.

  Ray B: Not that it matters with the Buehler base, but the 722 receiver has a good sized notch cut out of the bridge as do some of the real early 700's. Some scope bases like the old Leupold adjusto-mount depended on that notch to accommodate part of the mechanism. I recently tried to put an adjusto-mount on a 700 in .300 Savage. Without that notch, the rear base would not set down on the receiver.
