TC Encore
When switching from my turkey shotgun barrel in the spring to my 308 barrel for deer hunting in the fall, My zero is never close after changing the barrel back. It is most usually off 2 to 3 inches, always high or low never any windage adjustments. The scope stays mounted on the 308 barrel and never is removed. The scope is simmons 44mag. Any suggestions or anyone have any problems like this.

Do they make a heavy barrel for the Encores? 0 -
Bullberry barrel works makes barrels for the Encore that shoot like freaking laser beams. I had a USED 18" full bull barrel in 6BR it was the first time I ever shot in the 2's. It was a full 1.25" diameter.
I just got a used 308 Bullberry barrel, it too shoots like a laser beam.

Match Grade Machine also makes barrels but I had to cancel an order with them over "issues".0 -
Thompson makes thier own heavy barrels also. 0 -
T/C and Bergara make "sort of" heavy barrels, certainly heavier than their usual hunting barrels - I'm guessing about .820" diameter. There are lots of custom makers out there, as mentioned Bullberry (interesting company logo BTW) is very, very good. Match Grade Machine went through new ownership about 2 years ago. I've always had good results, have about 10 barrels from them. The latest two are 1" diameter all the way - a 30.30 AI and a 340 Weatherby (with brake) and each is 27" long. Very stable set up. 0
