Smith & Wesson 5 shot.. in 38s&w ctg.

In 1959 I bought this revolver..sold it several years later..I want to know what model this is.It's not a Victory,as it was blued and polished.Had the S&W diamond grips,and looked like J frame size.Thanks.

  Still nagging at you after 50 years, hey?
  
  If 2" barrel, it was a Terrier Model 32, sometimes known as the .38-.32.
  
  If 4" barrel, it was a Regulation Police Model 33.
  
  Before 1961 it would have been on the I or Improved I frame, smaller than the J frame.

  The Terrier was .38 S&W.

  it had a 4''bbl,and YES still bugs me after all these years.
